Prof. Andala Dickson, PhD

Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Fund (NRF) in Kenya

Prof. Andala has significantly contributed to shaping science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy and strategy in Kenya and Africa. He is an affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), a member of the Kenya National Academy of Sciences, and serves on the board of the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority. He is a pivotal figure in advancing scientific research and innovation in Kenya.  

Dr. Tonny K. Omwansa, PhD

CEO of Kenya National Innovation Agency

He is the first substantive CEO of Kenya National Innovation Agency, a member of the Board of Trustees of Kenya National Research Fund and a member of the Board of the National Commission of Science, Technology, and Innovation. He has been involved in the technology start-up ecosystem in Africa for the past 10 years, founding and running various entrepreneurship hubs, programs, and accelerators across different sectors, including EdTech, fintech and mobility.  

Prof. James E. Katz

Professor of Emerging Media Studies, Boston University, USA

He is the inaugural Feld Professor of Emerging Media Studies at Boston University. His core interests revolve around societal and interpersonal aspects of communication technology. His pioneering publications on mobile communication, artificial intelligence (AI), and robot-human interaction have been internationally recognized and translated into a dozen languages.

Mwende Mukwanyaga
