Daystar University, in collaboration with Cameras Africa, Canon and Sony, will host a practical training workshop designed to equip students with hands-on photography and videography skills while exposing them to professional equipment, techniques and real-world media production practices.
The workshop is designed to complement students' academic learning by providing practical industry exposure and an opportunity to interact directly with professionals and modern photography and videography equipment.

Workshop Focus
The practical workshop will cover:
Photography & Videography Equipment
Students will be introduced to professional cameras, lenses, microphones, and essential photography and video production accessories.
2. Hands-On Demonstrations
Participants will have the opportunity to observe practical demonstrations and gain a better understanding of how professional equipment is operated and applied in different production environments.
3. Practical Production Applications
The workshop will demonstrate how photography and videography tools and techniques can be applied to academic projects, creative productions, journalism, documentaries, events, digital content and professional media work.

Students will engage with industry professionals through an interactive question-and-answer session covering technical skills, equipment, career pathways and opportunities within the media and creative industries.
